Present quotes live on sales calls, with totals that update as you talk
To present quotes live on sales calls, you open a forquotez form in the quote runner, share your screen, and change seats, add-ons, billing cycle and discounts while the buyer watches the total update. When the numbers are agreed, you save the quote on the same screen and send it for signature.

What live presentation mode is
The usual quoting motion looks like this: the call ends, the rep builds a quote alone, emails a PDF a day or two later, and then negotiates by reply-all. Every change means a new file.
forquotez moves the quote into the call itself. The quote runner opens full screen with minimal chrome: your branded quote, a sticky cart sidebar with the running total, and an Exit button. You share that screen and build the quote with the buyer watching.
Nothing is hidden behind a refresh. When you click a stepper or toggle an add-on, the line price, the sidebar breakdown and the total all update at once. The buyer sees exactly what they pay for, what is included, what is optional and what was discounted.
How a live call runs
A typical presentation follows the order the form was built in:
- Start with the billing toggle. Show monthly, quarterly and annual billing and the savings attached to the longer cycles. Affected lines reduce automatically when the cycle changes.
- Walk through locked items. These carry an "Included" badge and establish the base value before any options appear.
- Toggle optional blocks on and off. Asking "would you like to add phone support?" lands differently when the buyer watches the price move.
- Adjust quantities. Plus and minus steppers change seat or unit counts, and linked included lists update with them.
- Handle the price conversation in the open. Apply a per-line discount and the original price shows as a strikethrough next to the new price in green.
- Save. Enter the buyer email, pick a contract term, set an expiration date, and click Save Quote.
If the form has prebuilt packages, a tab bar lets you switch between the packages view and the fully custom quote at any point in the call.
Discounts you can explain line by line
Discounting on a live call only builds trust if the buyer can see where each dollar went. The runner keeps every discount as its own visible row.
- Per-line discounts: a percentage or a dollar amount on a single block. Each one has a scope. "Every period" lowers the line for the life of the contract. "One-time credit" leaves the monthly rate intact and moves the savings to a First-invoice credit row, with a breakdown showing which line each credit came from.
- Cart-level discount: a percentage across the monthly total, opened from a small settings icon next to the total. The control stays out of sight until you choose to open it, and your admin sets the maximum.
- Automatic discounts: a form-level auto-discount above a monthly threshold, a package discount, and the billing cycle discount.
- Manager PIN: minimum quantities are locked behind a PIN, so a rep cannot quietly go under the floor.
These stack in a fixed order: per-line, auto-discount, package, cart, then billing cycle. One-time credits sit outside that stack and always keep their full dollar value.
Sample call: a fictional analytics vendor
Here is an example with made-up companies and made-up prices. Tessaly Analytics (fictional) is presenting to a buyer at Pinecrest Outfitters (fictional).
- The rep opens the runner and shares her screen. The locked platform line shows $1,500 per month with an "Included" badge.
- The buyer asks about 40 users. She clicks the stepper from 25 to 40 at $30 per user. The seat line moves from $750 to $1,200 and the sidebar total updates with it.
- The buyer wants the reporting add-on but hesitates at the onboarding fee. She toggles the add-on on, then opens the discount panel on the $4,000 onboarding line and applies a $1,000 one-time credit. A First-invoice credit row appears, labeled with the line it came from.
- She flips the billing toggle to annual. The recurring lines drop by the configured annual discount and the savings show in the totals.
- The buyer asks for a rush data migration that is not on the form. She clicks "+ Custom line item", inserts a saved snippet for the description, and types the price.
- They agree. She selects a 24-month contract term, and a Total Contract Value row appears. She sets an expiration date and saves.
The quote is now a frozen snapshot with a PDF and a public share link. She sends it for signature before the call recap email is written.
What happens after you click save
Saving creates a permanent record. Editing the form later will not change it. From the same screen you can also create a deal in the built-in CRM, valued at the quote total.
Every saved quote gets:
- A branded PDF in the same template as the runner (Modern, Executive or Bold).
- A public share link the buyer can open without an account.
- Status tracking through sent, viewed, signed, declined, expired and voided, with a notification to the rep on the first view.
Signing happens by emailed link, using the native e-signature flow. You can also click Export PDF without saving when you only need a quick preview during the call.
What it replaces, and who it fits
Live presentation mode replaces the slide with a pricing table, the spreadsheet you screen share and hope nobody reads too closely, and the multi-day PDF back-and-forth. It fits teams whose pricing has moving parts: seats, tiers, add-ons, billing cycles and negotiated terms.
If you want the method as well as the tool, the live quote presentation guide covers how to structure the call. You can also click through an interactive sample quote before starting the free 30-day trial, which needs no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does the buyer need an account or any software to see the live quote?
No. You share your screen in whatever meeting tool you already use. After the call, the buyer opens the saved quote from a public share link without logging in.
Can the buyer see my discount controls while I share my screen?
Per-line discounts open from an icon on each block when you choose to use them. The cart-level discount sits behind a small settings icon next to the total, so the buyer does not see the control unless you open it.
What stops a rep from giving away too much on a call?
Blocks only accept a per-line discount if the form builder allows it, minimum quantities are locked behind a manager PIN, and the admin sets a maximum cart-level discount for the organization.
What if the buyer asks for something that is not on the form?
Add a custom line item during the call. You enter a title, description, unit cost and quantity, and mark it recurring or one-time. It flows into the total, the saved quote and the PDF.
Can I change a quote after I save it?
A saved quote is a frozen snapshot, so it does not change. To revise it, clone the quote, which reopens the runner pre-filled with the same line items, term and credits, then save the new version.
Can the buyer sign during the call?
Signing is done by emailed link. You send the signature request from the saved quote, each signer gets a secure link by email, and they sign from their own device.
