Quote builder software made of blocks, built for live selling
forquotez is quote builder software where you assemble a reusable quote form from 16 block types, such as per-seat pricing, tier selectors, one-time fees and included lists. Reps then run that form on a sales call, adjust it in front of the buyer, and save a frozen quote with a PDF and a share link.

What the quote builder is
Most quoting tools start from a document. forquotez starts from a form: a reusable pricing layout your whole team runs, built once by an admin or manager and presented many times by reps.
You build the form by stacking blocks and dragging them into order. There are 16 block types in three groups:
- Pricing blocks: flat rate, per-seat (per-unit), tier selector, volume packages, one-time fee, card picker and discount rule.
- Configuration blocks: billing toggle and client info.
- Display blocks: section divider, included list, total summary, notes, content block, image block and spacer.
Each form also carries its own settings: a visual template (Modern, Executive or Bold), brand color, font and corner radius overrides, a default contract term, an optional auto-discount above a monthly threshold, and a manager PIN.
How blocks behave on a live call
The builder decides what the rep can and cannot do in live presentation mode. Every pricing block has an availability setting:
- Locked: always included, cannot be removed, and shown with a green "Included" badge.
- Default on: included to start, and the rep can click to remove it.
- Default off: left out to start, and the rep clicks to add it.
Beyond that, you choose block by block whether the price is rep-editable, whether a per-line discount is allowed, and what the minimum quantity is. A per-seat block gets plus and minus steppers, a custom unit label such as "users" or "licenses", and an optional toggle that lets the rep flip the line between recurring and one-time during the call.
Included lists can be linked to other blocks. If an item is tied to a seat count or a selected tier, the list updates the moment the rep changes that block, so the buyer always sees what the current configuration includes.
Sample walkthrough: building a form for a fictional software company
This is an example using a made-up company, Harborlight Software, that sells a scheduling platform.
- The sales manager starts from the SaaS Subscription starter template instead of a blank canvas.
- She adds a billing toggle at the top and sets the annual discount percentage.
- Under a section divider titled "1. Platform", she adds a locked flat rate block for the base platform. It will show an "Included" badge on every call.
- She adds a per-seat block labeled "users" with a minimum quantity, and sets a manager PIN so a rep cannot go below that minimum alone.
- Under "2. Add-ons", she adds a card picker in multi-select mode, so each add-on module the buyer chooses becomes its own line item.
- She adds a one-time fee for onboarding, an included list linked to the seat count, and a total summary at the bottom.
- She picks the Executive template and the company brand color.
From then on, any rep at Harborlight clicks Run on that form and presents it. Nobody rebuilds pricing in a spreadsheet before a call.
Starter templates, themes and the AI form assistant
Five starter templates cover common pricing shapes: SaaS Subscription, Agency Retainer, Professional Services, Usage-Based, and Product + Implementation. Each one is a normal form you can edit freely.
The visual template and theme apply everywhere the quote appears: the runner, the public share page and the PDF. Theme overrides sit on top of the template, so you can pair the formal Executive layout with a bright brand color, or leave overrides off and inherit your organization theme.
On plans that include it, an AI form assistant can build or edit a form from a chat request. You describe the pricing you sell, and it assembles the blocks for you to review.
What it replaces and what it pairs with
The builder replaces the pricing spreadsheet, the copy-and-paste proposal document and the "let me get back to you with numbers" email. It is lighter than a full CPQ system: there is no product catalog to administer, only forms your team can read at a glance.
It pairs with prebuilt packages when you want to offer good, better and best options alongside the custom quote, and with built-in e-signatures once the buyer agrees.
One safeguard matters here: saved quotes are frozen snapshots. Editing or deleting a form later never changes a quote that was already saved or a document that was already signed.
Frequently asked questions
How many block types does the quote builder have?
There are 16: client info, billing toggle, flat rate, per-seat, tier selector, volume packages, one-time fee, discount rule, card picker, included list, content block, image block, section divider, spacer, notes and total summary.
Can I stop reps from discounting below a floor?
Yes. You decide per block whether discounts are allowed, and a manager PIN on the form locks minimum quantities so a rep needs the PIN to go below them. Admins also set a maximum cart-level discount for the organization.
If I edit a form, do existing quotes change?
No. Each saved quote holds a frozen snapshot of the form as it was at save time. Later edits to the form never alter saved quotes or signed documents.
Do I have to start from a blank form?
No. You can start from one of five starter templates: SaaS Subscription, Agency Retainer, Professional Services, Usage-Based, or Product + Implementation.
Can a rep add something that is not on the form?
Yes. During a call the rep can add a custom line item with a title, description, unit cost, quantity and a recurring or one-time billing type. It appears in the total, the saved quote and the PDF.
