Quoting software with CRM built in
forquotez is quoting software with CRM built in: contacts, companies, leads, deals, multiple pipelines, a Kanban board, tags, files and an activity log live in the same app as your quotes. Saving a quote creates or matches the contact, can create a deal valued at the quote total, and logs sent, viewed and signed events automatically.

What the built-in CRM includes
The CRM exists to give your quotes context. It tracks who you quoted, at which company, for which deal and what happened next.
- Contacts: name, email, phone, job title, company, tags and an activity timeline.
- Companies: name, domain, phone, address, with their contacts, deals and timeline.
- Leads and deals: opportunities with a value, stage, owner and linked quotes.
- Pipelines: more than one if you need them, each with ordered, color-coded stages, a probability per stage and Won or Lost markers.
- Two deal views: a sortable table, and a Kanban board where you drag cards between stages.
- Tags and files: shared labels across contacts, companies and deals, plus files attached to records.
How it fills itself in during a live call
Reps skip CRM data entry when it is a separate chore. Here, most of it happens as a side effect of saving a quote in live presentation mode.
- Contact matching. Enter the buyer email in the save panel. If it matches an existing contact, the quote links to that contact instead of creating a duplicate. If not, a new contact is created.
- Company matching by domain. The email domain is matched to an existing company, which fills the company field and shows that company's existing contacts.
- Deal creation. Check "Create a deal for this quote" and a deal is created, valued at the quote total and linked to the buyer.
- Deal value sync. If several quotes are saved to the same deal, the deal value follows the most recent one.
Sample walkthrough: one deal, start to signature
This example uses made-up companies and a made-up price. A rep at Lumenfield Software (fictional) finishes a call with a buyer at Orchard Lane Dental (fictional).
- She types the buyer email in the runner. The domain matches an existing company record and its two known contacts appear.
- She checks the create-deal box and saves a quote for $2,400 per month. A deal appears in the "Proposal Sent" stage of the Inbound Sales pipeline at that value.
- The next morning the timeline on the deal shows "Quote viewed by prospect", then "Quote PDF downloaded". She gets a notification on the first view.
- She logs a call note after a follow-up conversation and tags the deal "Hot lead".
- The buyer asks for more seats. She clones the quote, saves the new version to the same deal, and the deal value updates to the new total.
- The buyer signs. "Quote signed" lands on the timeline and she drags the card to Closed Won.
Nobody typed a deal amount or pasted a status update. The quote did that work.
The activity log, forecasting and roles
Each contact, company and deal has a chronological timeline. The system adds entries for quote sent, viewed, PDF downloaded, signing started, signed, declined and expired. Your team adds notes, calls, emails and meetings by hand.
Stage probabilities feed a pipeline funnel on the dashboard. A deal's value is multiplied by its stage probability to give a weighted forecast, which sits next to the quote numbers in reporting.
Access follows role. Admins and managers see every contact, company and deal. Reps see only the records tied to their own quotes and deals. Admins manage pipelines, and admins or managers manage tags.
What it replaces, and when to pair it with HubSpot
For a team whose sales process centers on the quote, the built-in CRM can replace a separate CRM subscription and the copy-and-paste that keeps two systems in step. It is deliberately focused on the records around a quote.
If your company already runs on HubSpot, keep it. The HubSpot integration looks up contacts to pre-fill the quote, pushes deals with line items, and attaches the signed PDF to the deal. HubSpot is the CRM integration available today. For anything else, the REST API and outbound webhooks are available on the Enterprise plan.
For larger deals with many stakeholders, pair the CRM with deal rooms, which are created from a deal's detail page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate CRM to use forquotez?
No. Contacts, companies, leads, deals and pipelines are built in, and saving a quote fills most of it in for you.
Can I have more than one pipeline?
Yes. Admins can create multiple pipelines, such as inbound sales and renewals, each with its own ordered stages, colors and stage probabilities.
What happens to the deal value when I revise a quote?
When a new quote is saved to the same deal, the deal value updates to match the most recent quote total.
Can reps see each other deals and contacts?
No. Reps see only the contacts, companies and deals tied to their own quotes and deals. Managers and admins see everything in the organization.
Which outside CRMs does forquotez connect to?
HubSpot, through an OAuth connection. Other systems can be reached with the REST API and outbound webhooks on the Enterprise plan.
